WordPress tips : How to change your WordPress Favicon

Change your wordpress website Favicon will make your wordpress blog more beauty and cool. Change your wordpress favicon is quiet simple and easy. But wait a second, what Favicon is? Maybe You’re allready now, If you were wondering, a favicon is your site’s ‘icon’ which is displayed on the address bar next to your URL.

Favicon is more like a logo for your website and it is advised that you use one on your site to brand your site properly. And now, how to change your wordpress favicon, here’s the wordpress tips for changing your wordpress favicon.

By-the-way this can only be done for self hosted WordPress users. First, create your favicon icon, you can use graphics editor software just like photoshop, paint or other tools. Or you can make it online to html kit, or other similar website. Also make sure sizes are square and 16×16, 32×32, 64×64 or 128×128.

Once you’ve got yourself a Favicon, upload your Favicon anywhere in your site directory or on any other free or custom web host. Once you have uploaded the Favicon open your template’s Header.php file in your WordPress admin panel (Presentation > Theme Editor) with the Theme editor.

Paste this code anywhere in the file:

Replace ‘faviconpath’ with the path of the Favicon. just like this:
Your web : http://www.example.com
your favicon in your website root /public_html
your faviconpath is :

Once this is done save the settings and open your site. You should see your new Favicon next to your web URL on the address bar.

Oh, sorry, sorry, somehow Russian language is not showing. I was actually asking about how to create OWN ICO FILE? My Photoshop somehow does not now about ICO file extension…..So I am stuck.
